It's Nice To Meet You
I design travel for people who would rather be looked after than left to manage it themselves. For nearly thirty years I have planned honeymoons, private tours, milestone celebrations and corporate trips, and whatever the journey, my role is the same. I listen, I take care of every detail, and I make sure that when you arrive, everything simply works.
I learned this business from the ground up. After years in the industry in Galway, I founded my own agency, McDermott Travel, in Westport in 2001 and spent two decades building it into an award-winning name for luxury travel and honeymoons. Partnering with Travel Counsellors gave me something rare: the freedom of an independent advisor, backed by a global network and round-the-clock support, so that nothing is ever left to chance, especially when plans change at short notice.
My philosophy has never changed. I offer the best, most authentic travel experience possible, with every trip crafted individually around your tastes and interests. It is the opposite of booking a package online. It is a considered, personal service from someone who knows you and knows where to send you.
Most of my clients come back to me for life, and refer their friends. That is the part I am proudest of.

Enchanting India
May I begin with the famous Indian greeting “Namaste” to one and all!
